As indicações para o Emmy 2021, 73ª edição da premiação de TV mais importante do mundo, foram divulgadas. As séries “The Crown”, da Netflix e “The Mandalorian” da Disney+ estão no topo da corrida – cada uma delas recebeu 24 indicações. Na sequência aparece “Wandavision”, também da Disney+, concorrendo em 23 categorias.
Pela primeira vez uma atriz trans foi indicada na categoria principal – Mj Rodriguez concorre por seu desempenho em “Pose”. A indicação foi muito celebrada nas redes sociais, que também criticaram a ausência de indicações para as séries “SmallAxe” e “Master ofNone”, e do ator Pedro Pascal, esquecido em seu desempenho em “Mandalorian”.
Entre os canais de streaming, a grande indicada da noite foi a HBO Max, que acumula um total de 130 indicações, seguida da Netflix, que aparece com 129. Em terceiro vem a Disney+ com 71.
O Emmy Awards acontecerá no dia 19 de setembro (domingo) e contará com Cedric The Entertainer como apresentador oficial.Diferente do ano passado, a cerimônia será realizada de maneira presencial, porém, com um número restrito de convidados, que abrangerá apenas os indicados às categorias e seus convidados.
